Can I Get Another Copy of My Contract?

Of coarse! Call us at 877.783.2221 or email us at customerservice@aacwarranty.com and request a copy of your contract. 

What is Covered?

Coverage can vary depending on the contract that was purchased. Please review your contract under "Covered Components" for a detailed description of your coverage. If you have any questions, give us a call at 877.783.2221- we'd be happy to clarify any coverage details for you!

What is NOT Covered?

Maintenance (Unless specifically selected on the contract), trim, upholstery, and paint are some examples of items not covered. Please review your contract for a detailed list of any exclusions. This can be found on the "What is Not Covered" page of your contract. If there is a condition that existed before the purchase of this contract, it is not covered. 

When can I use my contract?

Most of our contracts are day one coverage, unless your contract states otherwise. Your contract goes into effect and is ready to use as soon as its purchased! If there is a condition that existed before the purchase of this contract, it is not covered.

How does 24/7 Roadside Assistance work?

We work with a third party company that supports our roadside assistance. If you require roadside assistance please call 1.800.451.0459.

How Do I Use My Contract?

To take advantage of your coverage, bring your vehicle to a certified repair facility. If possible, we recommend going to the dealership where you purchased your contract, as they may be best equipped to diagnose and repair your vehicle. Once diagnosis is complete, but before any repairs begin, have the repair facility contact the American Assurance Corporation claims department at 877.783.22221 Option 2.

Claims Questions

How Does My Rental Benefit Work?

All rental benefits are reimbursement programs and require both invoice and receipt to receive reimbursement. See your contract for exact requirements for rental qualification. 

Can I Use My Rental Benefit Towards Ride Share Or Alternative Vehicle Usage?

Yes, you can utilize your rental benefit towards ride share such as but not limited to; Uber, Lyft, RTD, etc.. Just make sure you have receipts for these transactions that you can easily provide to our claims department.  

How Do I File A Claim?

To start a claim, call into 877.783.2221.

What Are My Next Steps After A Claim Is Filed?

Your repair facility will be in contact with our claims department. We will determine if the repair is a covered component listed under your contract. The repair facility will let you know what the determination is and whether or not to move forward with the work.  

How Do Repair Payments Work?

We handle payment directly with the repair facility. The repair facility will send us a copy of the invoice with all the approved parts and totals, we will send a secured credit card number to the repair facilities email for the appropriate amount. Repair payments do require customer signature to be on the invoice. 

How Long Does A Claim Generally Take?

American Assurance will work as quickly as possible to get you back on the road. Most claims can be authorized the same day they are called in; however, more complex claims may take a few days due to inspections. We need proper cooperation from your repair facility using photos and videos to make the process go seamlessly. Check your contract for rental car reimbursement coverage- if included, it can help reimburse you for rental car expenses while your vehicle is being repaired.

What Is A VIN?

A VIN number (Vehicle Identification Number) is a unique 17-character code assigned to every motor vehicle when it's manufactured. The VIN is used for tracking the vehicle's history, including ownership, accidents, and repairs. It's often found on the dashboard (visible from the driver's side windshield) or inside the driver's side door frame on a label.

I Have A Lift Kit, Am I Still Covered?

We allow coverage on lifted vehicles up to 6 inches or less. There is a lift kit surcharge that will need to be checked off at the time of sale in order to cover.

I Use My Car For My Business, Am I Covered?

Utilizing a vehicle for your business often times adds additional wear and tear. This is covered as long as the vehicle is owner operated and is not a fleet vehicle. There is a surcharge that can be added to your coverage at the time of sale that will allow a work vehicle to be covered.
