TRANSFER A PLAN
Transferring a Current Contract
If a covered vehicle is sold to a private party, the original contract holder can transfer the unused coverage to the new owner of the vehicle, motorcycle, etc.. Please refer below for some important information to note about transferring a contract.

-
Please check the transfer section of your contract to make sure your specific coverage can be transferred. Not all of our contracts can be transferred.
-
THIS MUST BE DONE WITHIN 30 DAYS OF THE VEHICLE BEING SOLD.
-
The service contract cannot be transferred if the title transfer of your vehicle passes through an entity other than the subsequent buyer, or your vehicle is sold or traded to a dealership, leasing agency and/or entity/individual in the business of selling vehicles.
-
The service contract can only be transferred once and the transfer must be initiated by the original Contract Holder.

To complete a transfer:
-
Submit a completed transfer request form. (This must be signed by both the original contract owner and the new vehicle owner)
-
Submit a Transfer Fee. (Our contracts have certain transfer fees depending on the type of coverage, please refer to the transfer section of your contract to find out exactly what that fee is.)
-
Submit a supplemental document showing the proof of ownership change.

Original Owners Responsibilities:
-
Provide a copy of the original contract to the new owner. (If you do not have a copy, we are more than willing to send a copy to the new owner once the contract is transferred into their name.)
-
All service and maintenance records.
Click the PDF button on the right to get a fillable copy of the transfer form.
